Dolly Parton's Imagination Library provides free age-appropriate books each month through the mail to families with children under the age of 5. Children from birth to age five who reside in Beadle or Kingsbury County are eligible to participate.

This United Way Heartland Region funded program helps families in Beadle and Kingsbury Counties build a home library. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child's name directly to your home. Books will be sent directly to your home, and are developmentally appropriate for your child.

Eight to ten weeks after your registration form has been received, books will begin arriving at your home and will continue until your child turns five or you move out of our coverage area. Books will arrive monthly, although the arrival date may vary due to packing, sorting and shipping variables.

The program is free. However, donations to the United Way Heartland Region are welcome to contribute to the cost of the books for your child, and to sustain this program in our region. Due to funding limitations, we are only able to provide one book per family per month.
